I quit my comfy City job in London to travel through Latin America. The stories on this website - on this blog - are all based on true facts as they unfold during my travels. Don't take this too seriously - some bits are closer to the facts than others. I'm not writing for anyone in particular. Blogging is like sending a message in a bottle. Maybe it will reach a shore and someone will read it, maybe it'll float aimlessly at sea forever.
Everyone knows at least two dozen trite metaphors for a journey - and it's tough to escape its semiotic baggage when a whole blog is dedicated to my traveling experiences. I'm not purposefully going for any of that. Nevertheless, this journey comes at a particular moment in my life, or rather because of particular circumstances.
Certainly, this is not a story about another Millennial trying to figure out who they are. I know damn well who I am - this journey is all about who I can become.
I've spent quite a bit of my life playing by the rules of others. These are the confessions of what happens when I threw the rulebook away. I'm just that kind of boy...
